“The Bold and the Beautiful” received 10 overall Daytime Emmy award nominations this year. They were nominated in the category of Outstanding Drama Series Directing Team, and three actors were given the nod in the following categories:
Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series:
Heather Tom was nominated for her portrayal of Katie, who suffered a crisis with her transplanted heart after learning her husband was canoodling with another woman!
Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series:
John McCook received a nomination for his role of Eric Forrester, who struggled to help his wife face down cancer, and found himself attracted to another woman when his wife was no longer ‘in the mood’.
Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series:
Jacqueline MacInnes Wood got the nod for her portrayal of mercurial Steffy Forrester, who went from a passionate attraction to Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), to falling for his son after he saved her life.
"B&B" was also nominated in the following categories for technical Daytime Emmy awards:
Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction/Set Decoration/Scenic Design, Outstanding Achievement In Hairstyling, Outstanding Achievement in Lighting Direction, Outstanding Achievement in Live and Direct to Tape Sound Mixing, Outstanding Achievement in Multiple Camera Editing, and Outstanding Achievement In Music Direction and Composition.
