Bill's a grabber. (Soaps.com)
Week of May 16 – 20:
Well, the storylines didn’t do a whole lot for me this week, though I loved the comic relief of Taylor’s hallucination. On the whole, I really feel like I need something new and different from this show. Here are my observations from the past five days:
Brooke may well be haunted by what happened on the island, but can someone tell me why Taylor would think for one minute that she’d open up to her about it? As for the waffling over telling the secret to Ridge – I’m sick to tears of Brooke ‘almost’ telling every other scene and Thomas repeatedly asking her to keep quiet. The repetitive dialogue drives me around the bend!
Tired of the game.
For the first time ever I couldn’t get into Brooke and Stephanie’s scenes together this week. They seemed to be going around in a circle and I didn’t really ‘get’ the point of the conversation. It just seemed odd. Anyone else think so?
If Brooke and Thomas were the ones on the island, why is Ridge walking around with the ‘castaway’ look complete with week-old stubble? Just asking. Incidentally, I think it looks really good.
Fresh as a Dayzee.
I really enjoyed Dayzee this week. She’s such a breath of fresh air. It’s nice to see someone new interact with Ridge, she’s cute with Thomas, and Dayzee and Anthony discussing love was a neat touch.
I'm going to make you so happy!
Amber's happiness at Liam moving in was so infectious I actually forgot for a moment that she's scamming him. Too bad about that. Tawny was funny this week, grinning and texting away, pretending to be Hope. I can't help but think that Liam and Hope should be able to figure this out though.
I felt for Whip this week. I was glad that he finally spoke up for himself to Taylor, who's just been hopelessly self-centered. I'm not liking her much these days, which still rankles, since I once admired her as the brainy brunette bombshell character who had way more on the ball than everyone else. That said, her 'Ridge in a Speedo' hallucination made my week - mostly because of Whip's hilarious, bewildered expressions as she danced across the living room and dug at the carpet! Awesome! What's discussed in the office, stays in the office.
It was nice to see some Justin/Bill scenes, and also to see Bill a little unsure of himself for a change. It humanizes him. I was very surprised to learn he isn't bedding his wife; I guess his stubborn pride trumps even his virility. It amazes me the chemistry he shares with both of the women in his life, but I still don't see Steffy as anyone's life partner at this stage of the game. Their scenes in the guesthouse were hot, but I had to laugh - whenever Bill goes to kiss Steffy he grabs her like he's going to head-butt her, choke her, or eat her face off - it honestly looks like anything could happen!
