The nominations are out!
“The Bold and the Beautiful” was recognized in numerous categories for the 38th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards coming up on June 19. Soaps.com wishes the show the very best. Let’s look at the nods.
Three “B&B” actors were recognized in the following categories:
Outstanding Lead Actress:
Susan Flannery received a nomination for her heart-wrenching portrayal of matriarch Stephanie Forrester who had to face her own mortality when diagnosed with stage four lung cancer.
Outstanding Supporting Actress:
Heather Tom was recognized for her work last year, when her character, Katie Logan, left Forrester Creations and also dealt with the death of her mother.
Outstanding Younger Actor:
Scott Clifton received a nomination for his portrayal of newcomer, Liam Cooper, who showed up in town looking for his father, became embroiled in a controversy, and fell for Hope Logan (Kim Matula).
Outstanding Drama Series:
"B&B" won a nomination in this important category for episodes #5922 and #5923, which featured Stephanie (Susan Flannery) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) on Skid Row in the homeless storyline.
"B&B" was also given a nod for Outstanding Drama Series Directing Team, Outstanding Drama Series Writing Team, as well as in the New Approaches Daytime Entertainment category, which could have been for the documentary style approaches to filming taken with the lung cancer storyline both on Skid Row and with Nick's intervention.
