B&B Breakdown
Week of January 10 – 14:

Well, the oddball storylines continued this week on The Bold and the Beautiful. I really think it’s time to mix things up a bit and bring back some characters we haven’t seen in a while. While I’m wishing, how about an end to the repetitive dialogue which drives me up a tree. In any case, there were some twists to talk about this week, so let’s get to it.

When did that happen?
I must have missed an episode or two, because seeing Amber and Marcus in bed together totally took me off guard! Once I stopped being amazed, I started to feel bad about the Amber character, who has now not only regressed to chasing teenagers, but to acting trashy and desperate. So sad to see this happen to a character who had actually matured in an interesting way. As for Amber’s mother, she’s spot on as the trashy trailer mom. Although I’m not okay with the changes in Amber, it will make for some good old-fashioned soap drama to see her try to pull off this pregnancy scheme.

Sailor and surfer.
I didn’t mind the wedding vow renewal ceremony with Nick presiding and making me laugh by calling his girlfriend Naggy Aggie, but the whole thing did seem very out-of-the-blue. It made me wonder what is coming up for these characters. Something powerful I hope.
