Party on! (Soaps.com)
B&B Breakdown
Week of December 13 – 17:
From the Taboo show to Liam’s party there was plenty of buzz this week on The Bold and the Beautiful. I’m still missing some of the other characters, what with all the focus on the younger set, but hopefully Christmas will bring everyone out of the woodwork. Here are my thoughts on the week:
Dressing room debacle.
While the dressing room ‘mix-up’ engineered by Whip was worth a giggle, I was a little foggy on exactly how Whip thought it would be a good idea to get back at Ridge by hurting not only Brooke, but his wife’s son, in the process. Not to mention that he nearly shot himself in the foot since Ridge promised Taylor he’d reconcile with her if Brooke disgraced him again. In any case, Ridge (eerily) supported Brooke yet again, so Whip will have to dial up the diabolical plotting a notch. I’m okay with that, but the whole Brooke and Thomas thing remains silly to me. Especially with Taylor going off the deep end every five minutes – egad! What do you think of this storyline? Aggie does the holidays.
Here’s something new – I liked Aggie with Nick this week. Her contentment at being with her lover and his son as the holidays approach were a breath of fresh air. Good stuff.
Amber, who art thou?
Did someone put Amber in a time machine and send her back to the day she turned 19? Just asking. The grown up Amber is nowhere in evidence. I got sick of hearing her go on and on about fortune-hunting all week. I wouldn't have blamed Oliver if he kicked her out just so he didn't have to listen to her anymore. I don't understand the writers having this character acting like an overgrown teenager.
Party on!
I'm excited to see what upheaval will happen as Dollar Bill's party gets into full swing. It's nice to have Donna, Justin, and Marcus there too - an interesting side story. I'm not sure how I feel about Donna and Justin as a couple - we'll see what develops. Bill's controlling ways are irksome, but I want to see how Liam handles it - he has the potential to be a very compelling character.
Looking ahead.
I'm hoping for a really big Forrester Christmas, and to see some faces we haven't been seeing much of as the holidays arrive. Cheers!
