The Bold and the Beautiful Weekly Blog!
Welcome back! (Soaps.com)
Week of June 28 – July 2:
There were certainly some entertaining bits this week on The Bold and the Beautiful, but, once again, the scenes with Brooke and Oliver repeatedly going over and over their dilemma failed to resonate with me. Here are some notes on the week:
The Brooke and Oliver Fiasco.
All I can say is that I was over watching Brooke and Oliver discuss their situation last week, so this week their scenes were fast-forward material. Ditto for the insipid scenes of Hope/Oliver and Brooke/Ridge talking about how amazing they are together (which we all know is the precursor to the stuff hitting the fan!) What was great in this storyline this week was watching Steffy’s devious mind put the pieces together and find her proof, as well as the confrontation between her and Brooke. Nice twist on Friday having Brooke decide to tell Ridge the truth!
This was an expected maneuver, but I liked it. What would be nice is if Donna and Katie acted more like strong women, and less like a couple of twits! The scene with them fawning over Stephen in the jail totally bugged me. Also, let’s give smokin’ hot Bill something to do besides prop up the Logan sisters!
More Ambrosia Moore!
Amber will bring some pep to town that's for certain! Great first scenes between her, Whip, Owen, and Jackie. It was funny to see Jackie lay claim to Owen within minutes of meeting Amber. I also enjoyed the instant camaraderie between Jackie and Amber. I look forward to seeing what's in store for Amber in L.A. What would you like to see in Amber's storyline? The scenes between Owen and Bridget in which she lamented the loss of Nick were realistic, but boring. I'm really hoping we won't have to watch weeks of Owen fawning over Bridget and her belly while Jackie looks on with concern.
Best For Last.
I can't seem to get enough of Stephen and Pam! I found myself hoping against hope that he would admit to having feelings for her, and laughed out loud when he said he sometimes smells her lemon bars! This works!
