It’s Confirmed: Bold & Beautiful’s Denise Richards Is Returning to Her Old Stomping Grounds

It’s been quite a while since we’ve seen Shauna on The Bold and the Beautiful, back in October 2022, and though there are no plans for her to return anytime soon, her portrayer, Denise Richards, will be heading back to her old stomping grounds… Our sister site, Variety, has learned exclusively that the actress will be returning to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
However, her return wasn’t planned, but rather happened recently, “on the spur of the moment.” While at a screening hosted by Real Housewife Garcelle Beauvais, who is a friend of Richards’, Bravo’s production team was surprised to see her there but one thing led to another and “the next day, I was asked to go to some events — and so it’s been actually fun,” she shared.
The new season began filming in January and though Richards won’t be appearing in the promo shots, viewers can expect to see her in a guest capacity when the new chapter of the franchise premieres later in 2023.

Touching base on her previous seasons with the show, which included drama-filled moments between her and Days of Our Lives alum Lisa Rinna (ex-Billie) and Brandi Glanville, who are no longer with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Richards explained, “When I left after my second season, I just felt as though some of the women were very toxic and they played so dirty. I understand there has to be drama, but I also think it’s fun to see women having fun, especially this age group.”
As for her Bold & Beautiful character… Back in January, executive producer and headwriter Bradley Bell told Soap Opera Digest, that in his mind, Shauna and her daughter Flo are still “out there” somewhere. He made it clear just how much he thought of Richards and Katrina Bowden and how he’d be “honored” to have them both back in the future.
And speaking of honors… The CBS soap just celebrated its 9,000th episode and you won’t want to miss photos of its milestone moments from the show’s big set party.
