Viewers of The Bold and the Beautiful will see a new face roaming the halls of Forrester Creations next week. The CBS soap has cast former NFL pro and The Talk co-host Akbar Gbajabiamila to appear as a new executive named Max on Tuesday, January 18.
Though this will be Gbajabiamila’s first dabble into the world of soaps, he’s no stranger to daytime. Last September, it was announced that he had joined season 12 of The Talk as a co-host, alongside Sheryl Underwood, Amanda Kloots, Jerry O’Connell and Natalie Morales. As fans know, CBS loves doing crossovers within the network. Underwood has been a fave who has turned up from time to time as Dollar Bill’s friend Emmy, and last November, Big Brother 23 winner Xavier Prather played James, another Forrester Creations executive.
Gbajabiamila has hosted various other shows and will be familiar to football fans for his time in the NFL. He began his career playing at San Diego State University before being signed into the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2003 by the Oakland Raiders. He went on to play for the San Diego Chargers in 2006 before retiring from the game as a Miami Dolphin in 2007.
So, who will Gbajabiamila interact with at the fashion house?
While we wait to see if it’s with Eric and Ridge, or maybe Steffy and Thomas, or even Carter, Zende and Paris, we invite our readers to celebrate Darlene Conley on the anniversary of her passing with a co-star’s heartfelt remembrance and a photo gallery full of Sally Spectra memories.
