Celebrating and highlighting the heroes during the health crisis.

Soaps.com has details for a very special event taking place this weekend. On Saturday May 9 at 8:00 PM soap opera stars from Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, Guiding Light, One Life to Live and Young and the Restless will come together during Daytime Cares: A Live Event to honor and uplift fans during the world’s current health state. Co-founded by Days of our Lives’ Arianne Zucker (Nicole), along with Bob Wall and Sonia Blangiardo, Daytime Cares brings daytime talent together with a main goal for the event to also celebrate and highlight the heroes on the frontlines, encourage volunteerism and assist in very tangible ways for those who are most in need. Soaps.com will be live tweeting during the event and provide our readers with the highlights afterward.

The special will be live-streamed on The Locher Room YouTube Channel and on Facebook, hosted by General Hospital’s Laura Wright (Carly) and The Locher Room host Alan Locher and presented in partnership with Daytime Cares, a Daytime TV Community spearheaded by Arianne Zucker and Shawn Christian (Days of our Lives’ Daniel). StreamYard is sponsoring the event.

A nonprofit organization that will benefit from the event, Disaster Responder Assets Network’s mission is to support emergency responders and is responding nationally through free and confidential online support groups via Zoom for front line healthcare professionals and first responders, online training to provide mental health clinicians with guidance on how to best treat mental health issues in front line responders and healthcare providers. The organization’s founder, Nataly Kuznetsov, is a trauma nurse, currently serving on the front lines.
