Season Six of Hallmark’s Good Witch to Premiere in May With New Faces & Bewitching Surprises

The enchantment returns with a new season of Hallmark’s fantasy series.

Catherine Bell and James Denton are back as Cassie Nightingale and Dr. Sam Radford in Hallmark’s fun series Good Witch. On July 3, 2019, the show was renewed for season six. A rep from Hallmark confirmed to Soaps.com that the entire season six was shot last year and will premiere on Sunday May 3 with the first episode The Magic Touch.

Season one of Good Witch debuted on February 28, 2015 and surrounded Cassie Nightingale, owner of the shop Bell, Book & Candle and the bed and breakfast Grey’s House, the oldest home in the town of Middleton. Dr. Sam Radford and his son Nick (Rhys Matthew Bond) came into the picture upon moving next door to Cassie and her daughter Grace (Bailee Madison) and quickly became enchanted by the mother-daughter duo. Over the years, Cassie has faced loss, love, the challenges of being a single parent and the struggles for acceptance into a town due to her mysterious aura.

Bailee Madison, having been on the series since its inception, as well as in the Good Witch movies, exited after season five and will not return for season six. In a statement to Deadline last year, Michelle Vicary, EVP Programming & Publicity at Crown Media Family Networks stated, “Once again, being the No. 1 series in cable, we are thrilled to announce a Season 6 pickup of Good Witch. Bailee Madison will always be a beloved member of the Hallmark family.”

The season five finale The Graduation aired August 18, 2019 and featured Sam and Cassie preparing to send their kids off to college, along with the added fears from Nick’s mom Linda, who worried about her son’s move across the country. During her last days in Middleton, Grace uncovered her true passion while helping a local fashion designer. Stephanie (Kylee Evans) worked to balance her thriving food truck business and her relationship with Adam (Scott Cavalheiro). Abigail (Sarah Power) struggled to share her feelings with Donovan (Marc Bendavid) after he revealed his own, and Sam and Martha (Catherine Disher) made an unexpected discovery during their hunt for the Middleton treasure. The annual Halloween special, Good Witch: Curse From a Rose, aired thereafter on October 19, 2019 and showcased a sudden visit from Cassie’s college roommate Autumn Deveraux (Lolita Davidovich), who harbored resentment toward her friend over a past event.
