Days of our Lives

She used to play the unstable Jana Hawkes, now rumors are swirling that former The Young and the Restless star Emily O’Brien could be cast on Days. That may be put on hold, however. In a shocking turn of real events, NBC announced that the Days cast has been released from their contracts and the show’s production is being put on indefinite hiatus so they can get back to a regular 2 month out schedule instead of an 8 month out one that isn’t working for them currently. This caused quite a stir so the cast members took to social media to reassure worried viewers that the show has not been canceled. See what some of the stars from the soap had to say in the Days of our Lives news room. And don’t miss what Chrishell Hartley (Jordan) said to encourage viewers to keep watching the action in Salem even if her character is dead and what advice she has for actors. In a sad turn of events, Tyler Christopher (Stefan) was arrested for alleged public intoxication. After you watch the spoiler video dealing with Adrienne’s abrupt demise, revisit some of the rich history of the multiple generations of the Horton family and their intimate connections to the rest of the town. And Christine tries to make sense of the massive changes since the time jump, including Eric remaining ignorant, Ciara’s new fashion sense, and Will in the slammer in her Days of our Lives blog.

General Hospital

Cassandra’s days in Port Charles have come to an end as Jessica Tuck wraps her General Hospital run. The soap opera’s casting was recently honored by the Ruderman Family Foundation with an award for diversity inclusion. Meanwhile, alum Matt Cohen (ex-Griffin) stars in Hallmark’s new romantic comedy, Holiday Date, in which he plays a hapless actor roped into pretending to be the boyfriend of the movie’s protagonist over the holidays. Find out when it starts airing in our General Hospital news room. Then discover when the stars of General Hospital will be gathering at Graceland for a special three-day fan event in 2020. Get the full list of cast members past and present expected to attend before seeing Anna’s return in the weekly spoiler video. The Young and the Restless

A little holiday merriness has been confirmed as Zach Tinker returns to Young and the Restless as Fenmore Baldwin just in time for Christmas with his parents. Staying in the festive mood, you’ll be able to watch Eileen Davidson (Ashley) in the bittersweet film There Will Always Be Christmas, coming out next year. Davidson plays the dean of a prestigious high school. Find out more about that holiday movie before reading about her other upcoming film, the romantic thriller Symphoria, which co-stars Davidson and familiar soap opera actor A Martinez. It is the tale of a spoiled rich kid who returns to America after 10 years living in Europe and enters into a dangerous affair. Watch the trailer in our The Young and the Restless news room where we have even more casting news for who is coming and going from the canvas into the winter months. Then take a peek inside Jason Thompson’s (Billy) serene and contemporary Hollywood Hills home now that it’s on the real estate market. Finally, Candace continues to be frustrated, and not just by the pre-emptions, as the hostage drama played out predictably, is confused by Phyllis’ attitude to Adam, but enjoyed the scenes of Ashley and Theo in The Young and the Restless blog.
