GL Alum Paul Wesley in Dark, Twisted Second Season of ‘Tell Me a Story’

Former soap opera actor takes on a new character in reimagined fairytales.
Guiding Light alum Paul Wesley (Max Nickerson), also known for his portrayal of Stefan Salvatore on The Vampire Diaries, is set to star in the upcoming second season of Tell Me A Story on CBS’ digital subscription video-on-demand and live-streaming service and Soaps.com has the details and trailer. The psychological thriller series puts dark twists into well-known fairytales and was created by Vampire Diaries’ Kevin Williamson. The upcoming 10-episode season will focus on reimagined versions of Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella, and features the Pruitt family as they deal with love, loss, romance and terror in Nashville, Tennessee. The second season trailer, shared by Wesley on his Instagram, reveals an entirely new set of characters from season one. The actor, who played Eddie Longo in the first season, stars as Tucker Reed in season two, along with Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix) as Rebecca Pruitt, Odette Annable (Arielle Casta, South Beach; House) as Maddie Pruitt, Eka Darville (The Originals) as Beau Morris, Matt Lauria (Friday Night Lights) as Jackson Pruitt, Ashley Madekwe (Four Weddings and a Funeral) as Simone Garland, and Natalie Alyn Lind (The Gifted), sister of Young and Restless star Alyvia Alyn Lind (Faith Newman) as Ashley Rose Pruitt. Those in recurring roles for season two of Tell Me A Story include Danielle Campbell (The Originals) as Olivia Moon, Garcelle Beauvais (Spider-Man: Homecoming) as Veronica Garland, Caleb Castille (Wu-Tang: An American Story) as Ron Garland, and Christopher Meyer (T.J. Ashford, General Hospital) as Derek Garland. Season two of Tell Me A Story, which was filmed on location in Nashville, Tennessee, premieres on Thursday December 5.

Paul Wesley, who announced in February that his company, Citizen Media, had signed a producing deal with Kapital Entertainment, will step behind the camera on two upcoming projects, Confessions Of a Drug-Addicted High School Teacher, in which he will also star, and Possessed, a supernatural crime drama.
