47th Annual Daytime Emmys ceremony honors those behind the scenes.
Early today, Soaps.com announced that there will be three ceremony dates for next year’s live 47th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, which will once again take place in Pasadena, California. The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) also released the date for the 47th Annual Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony. With three ceremony dates, presumably the Creatives will take place on Friday Friday June 12, 2020. Actors from Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital and The Young and the Restless and many who work on the ABC, CBS and NBC soap operas, as well as others from the television daytime line-up, will gather to celebrate those who work behind the scenes.
The next phase of announcements will likely come in January when the academy releases the pre-nominations for such categories as music direction, best original song, casting directors, art directors, lighting direction, makeup, hairstyling and costume designers, to name a few. And don’t forget those who are involved in the many digital series. Everyone from Outstanding Digital Drama to Outstanding Guest Performer, we will deliver all of the nominees. Despite the issues surrounding a few Daytime Emmys being revoked, including Patrika Darbo’s in June 2018 for her role as Mickey Walker on The Bay in the Guest Performer in a Digital Drama Series category, as well as all four soap operas threatening to boycott the 2019 Daytime Emmys, last year’s 46th Daytime Emmy winners took home their awards with no issues.
Soaps.com will update our readers with any future details as they come in… Plus, look forward to our continued coverage prior, during and after the Daytime Emmys, to include which soap stars will be presenting at the Friday night ceremony, winners and red carpet photos.
