Soap opera alum weds at Goldie Hawn’s vacation home.
Actress Meredith Hagner, who played Liberty Ciccone Snyder on As the World Turns from 2008 – 2010, married actor Wyatt Russell on Saturday August 31. Soaps.com learned the couple tied the knot after they got engaged at Christmas time in 2018, when Hagner shared a post on her Instagram in Russell’s arms and gushed, “The love of my dang life proposed to me. He is the best guy in the world. It was an epic surprise surrounded by our closest family and I would give the proposal 5 stars on yelp!!!!!”
The wedding took place at the Aspen, Colorado vacation home belonging to Russell’s movie star mom, Goldie Hawn (Snatched, Overboard), and was attended by his other well-known family members, dad, Kurt Russell (The Christmas Chronicles, Tango & Cash), and half-siblings Kate Hudson (Almost Famous, The Skeleton Key) and Oliver Hudson (Nashville, Dawson’s Creek). According to People, guests arrived in school buses for the ceremony, which had a western theme. A rehearsal dinner was held at a local restaurant the previous evening, Friday August 30.
In a parallel to Russell’s famous parents, who met on the set of the movie Swing Shift in 1983, Hagner and Russell began dating while filming Folk Hero & Funny Guy in 2016. In addition to her daytime role, Hagner has also done stints on TV series such as Royal Pains, Younger, and Search Party. More recently, she appeared in the Tiffany Haddish film, The Oath, and in the horror movie, Brightburn starring Elizabeth Banks.
