After the Wedding
Julianne Moore (Frannie Hughes, As the World Turns; Carmen Engler, The Edge of Night) stars alongside Michelle Williams in Sundance Film Festival opener After the Wedding, which was just acquired by Sony Pictures Classics for distribution. The much-anticipated movie, which received good reviews, is an adaptation of a Danish film about a woman named Isabel (Williams) who works with orphaned Indian children and seeks financial support from Moore’s Theresa in New York. Of the film, which is due to be released in August, director Bart Freundlich told Deadline, “I’ve known Michael and Tom for 23 years when we worked together on my first film. They have impeccable taste, so it is very exciting, and great vote of confidence that they believe so wholeheartedly in After the Wedding.”
Interrogation
General Hospital alum Vinessa Antoine (ex-Jordan Ashford) continues to broaden her horizons. In addition to starring in the Canadian prime time drama Diggstown as Marcie Diggs, Antoine can next be seen in the recurring role of a “street-smart diner waitress” who becomes a key player in a cold case murder investigation surrounding a young man who was convicted of brutally murdering his mother in the CBS All Access true-crime drama.
