Memorial Day Soap Opera Pre-Emptions 2019

Annual holiday downtime for a few soap operas.
April showers bring May flowers plus Memorial Day pre-emptions for a couple of soap operas. Like our readers, Soaps.com misses Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital and Young and the Restless when they’re not on. However, it can be fun to spend the holidays with family and friends, especially when the pre-emptions mean viewers will be able to pick up right where they left off once the shows return. Take note of the exclusive details below…
CBS will once again air new episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless. Though it’s unknown as of yet if the soaps will air fun episodes, featuring BBQs and fireworks, or drama-filled ones surrounding the Forresters and Spencers of Los Angeles, as well as the Abbott and Newman clans of Genoa City, Soaps.com invites readers to keep an eye on our Bold and the Beautiful spoilers and Young and the Restless spoilers.
NBC’s Days of our Lives will not be seen on Monday May 27 due to the 2019 French Open (Roland Garros). Semifinal matches for the event will take place on Thursday June 6 and Friday June 7, which means the soap will be pre-empted both of those days as well.
ABC will not air a new episode of General Hospital. In its place viewers will be able to watch an encore of the special General Hospital’s 56th anniversary episode, which originally aired on April 2.
Regular programming for all soaps recommence on Tuesday May 28, when Soaps.com returns with our daily soap opera recaps.
