Honoring the women in their life.

Soaps.com hopes our readers had a wonderful Mother’s Day celebrating with their family on Sunday May 12. The holiday is a time to honor motherhood and maternal bonds in general and is commemorated during various months throughout the world, most notably in March and May. The holiday originated in the early 20th century and was inspired by American Civil War era social activist and community organizer Ann Maria Reeves Jarvis. Her daughter, Anna Marie Jarvis, is said to be the founder of Mother’s Day in the United States, which over the years has become very commercialized. Soap opera stars from Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital and Young and the Restless shared photos, videos and messages of their mothers, mothers of their children and special women who they’ve looked up to.

Bold and the Beautiful

And, today, as a #mom.” Newcomer Denise Richards (Shauna Fulton) sent a special thank you to her father, “Thank you my dad Irv @irving.richards for coming up to celebrate Mother’s Day… always bittersweet missing my mom so much.
