Major soap opera exits and other big changes.

March’s comings and goings on Soaps.com included the return of a Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful, two big departures on Days of our Lives, and big shake-ups at General Hospital and The Young and the Restless.

The Bold and the Beautiful

On The Bold and the Beautiful, Maile Brady made several appearances as Forrester intern Tiffany. Matthew Atkinson began airing as Thomas Forrester, and Henry Joseph Samiri is playing his son Douglas. Days of our Lives

Judith Chapman (Diana Colville) and Greg Rikaart (Leo Stark) both announced their exits from Days of our Lives.  Brandon Barash took over playing Stefan DiMera as Tyler Christopher exited. Kristian Alfonso brought Princess Gina back for a special occasion, and Thaao Penghlis played Andre and Tony DiMera in the same episode. General Hospital

It was revealed that Michelle Stafford is leaving General Hospital and the role of Nina Reeves. Matt Cohen exited General Hospital as Griffin Munroe. Ingo Rademacher began taping as Jax Jacks. Chris Van Etten made a brief return as Chet Driscoll. Finola Hughes pulled double duty playing Anna Devane’s twin sister Alex Marick. Anthony Montgomery brought Andre Maddox back for a visit, and Kelsey Wang returned briefly as Dawn of Day member Daisy. Paulina Bugembe has been recast as the new Valerie Spencer, after Brytni Sarpy exited for The Young and the Restless. Hillary B. Smith is returning as Nora Buchannan. Denise Alexander is returning as Laura’s mother, Lesley Webber. Young and the Restless

In a shocking twist, Gina Tognoni has left the role of Phyllis Summers Abbott on The Young and the Restless, and Michelle Stafford is returning to reprise the role. Dr. Nate Hastings has been recast with actor Sean Dominic, and Brooks Darnell has left the soap. Tristan Lake Leabu returned as Reed Hellstrom. Gilbert Glenn Brown joined the soap as Ana’s father, R&B artist, Jett Slade, and Brytni Sarpy began airing as Elena Dawson. Beth Maitland returned as Traci Abbott, and Eileen Davidson was back as Ashley Abbott for a brief stint. The actress will return for a special tribute for Kristoff St. John, which also brings back Christel Khalil (Lily Winters Ashby), Shemar Moore (Malcolm Winters), Victoria Rowell (Drucilla Winters), and Mishael Morgan (Hilary Curtis Hamilton). Alice Hunter finished taping as Kerry Johnson. Jason Canela announced his departure from Young and the Restless as Arturo Rosales. Jennifer Taylor is set to briefly reprise her role of Rebekah Barlow. And Mark Grossman has landed the role of Adam Newman, last played by Justin Hartley.
