Guiding Light alum Michelle Forbes (Dr. Sonni Wells) guest stars on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy tonight as Vicki Ann Rudin, a woman who Dr. Jo Wilson Karev (portrayed by British actress Camilla Luddington) thinks might be her biological mother. Titled Silent All These Years, the episode promises to be an emotional one, with promos telling viewers that “due to sensitive subject matter, viewer discretion is advised.” The episode airs Thursday March 28 at 8:00 PM EST on ABC.
Games People Play
Tracy Melchior (Kristen Forrester Dominguez, Bold and the Beautiful, Veronica Landers, Young and the Restless) has joined the cast of a new TV mini-series, Games People Play. Airing on BET, the hour-long scripted drama set in Los Angeles and revolving around a basketball wife (Lauren London, The Game) trying to protect her family, a journalist (Karen Obilom, Cultural Clash) trying to rebuild her career, and a groupie (Parker McKenna Posey, Lucky Girl) trying to become a star. Melchior’s character, Roxanne, is featured in at least four episodes throughout the series. Keep an eye out for a release date.
Eric Nelson to become first-time father
Congratulations are in order for Eric Nelson (AJ Chandler, All My Children reboot, Kevin Ross Marler, Guiding Light), who is about to become a first-time dad! The proud papa-to-be announced the good news on Instagram: “Our biggest production yet 💗🎀 There has been one role I’ve wanted to play my whole life… just booked it!” In the photo, he and his wife sit in set-chairs labeled “MOM” and “DAD,” with a little chair in between with the upcoming bundle of joy’s name, Molly Morgan.
One Life to Live alum Tika Sumpter (Layla Williamson) has landed a role in a black-ish prequel as the mom of Tracee Ellis Ross’s character Rainbow. Sumpter will play Alicia opposite Anders Holm (Champions) as her husband Paul, and Arica Himmel (God Friended Me) as young Bow. The present-day versions of Sumpter and Holm are portrayed by Anna Deavere Smith and Beau Bridges.
