Yesterday was Saint Patrick’s Day, though many across America and the world took the whole weekend to celebrate the holiday. Soaps.com hopes everyone had a chance to celebrate or mark the occasion and find that little bit of Irish in you. The holiday commemorates the death of Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, who died on March 17 in 461. The day, which became an official Christian feast day in the seventeenth century, also marks the arrival of Christianity in Ireland and Irish heritage. Saint Patrick is commonly known as the man who miraculously chased the snakes out of Ireland, the snake being an allegory for pagan religions such as the druids. Many American erroneously refer to the holiday in short form as St. Patty’s Day, but the proper spelling is St. Paddy’s Day. Many of your favorite Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and Young and the Restless stars, both past and present, took to social media to share how they celebrated.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Darin Brooks (Wyatt Spencer) along with his wife Kelly Kruger (Mackenzie Browning on The Young and the Restless) were celebrating St Maddy’s day in honor of their pug’s 17 birthday. He wrote, “Happy ST MADDY’s DAY!!! In honor of lil Maddy’s 17th Birthday TODAY… we got her a brand new tennis ball… and she won’t let anyone else play with it… 😳 Everyone wish her happy birthday! Oh and for everyone else #HappyStPatricksDay !!! 😎🤙☘️.” Over in Australia, Katherin Kelly Land (Brooke Forrester) posed in a colorful dress against a lush green backdrop and posted, “Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I am in Australia now and look forward to showing you the new styles of #kellysklosetbykkl ! Tune in to @tvsn this week for the fashion shows! Yay!”

Days of our Lives

Galen Gering (Rafe Hernandez) took to the slopes with his family to celebrate the holiday, posting photos from Mammoth Mountain. James Reynolds (Abe Carver) and his wife Lissa took time to commemorate the holiday while out to see Captain Marvel. “Happy St. Patty’s Day! (Ordered a green Arnold Palmer at @yardhouse) and saw Captain Marvel – good film! Love seeing a woman super hero! #womenpower #captianmarvel”

General Hospital

Maura West (Ava Jerome) posted a video of her son and daughter, Joe and Kate West, performing an Irish drinking song for the holiday while decked out in green. Haley Pullos (Molly Lansing) joked she didn’t have any green to wear, but pointed out her glass had a green straw. “Happy St Patrick’s day, I don’t own any green clothing so pls enjoy this photo of me amongst some very green grass whilst using a green straw.”

The Young and the Restless

Camryn Grimes (Mariah Copeland) posed in a beautiful green dress and suggested a safe way to enjoy the holiday. “Wear some green, have a Guinness, but please don’t pinch anyone unless you want a smack.” Beth Maitland (Traci Abbott) simply posted a photo of her cats relaxing on a lazy Sunday, and pointed out there was no green in her photo. “Lazy spring Sunday. Happy St Patrick’s Day! #nogreen #gonnagetpinched”.

Happy St Patty’s Day!!! 🍀Our little Maddy turns 17 today!!! It’s our lil St Maddys Day! I cant imagine my world in which my dogs are not apart of it. These 2 have been by my side for so much of my life. Through so many happy times as well as the not so happy ones, they always made me smile and gave me a sense of purpose. There is no love like that which comes from an animal. It’s the most unconditional and pure and it’s truly the best investment you will ever make. When I got back from filming BFF BRIDE back in August, Maddy had stopped eating and got very sick. We thought it was the end for her, I had a long talk with her (true story) and this dog bounced back and acts like a puppy all over again. I am so grateful for every moment I have with her. For every moment she is happy and playing and barking for food. This dog has taught me so much and I just hope she knows how much she really means to us. I’ll take as many more years as you wanna give us Mads… HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! 🐶❤️#MadisonCharles #HappyBirthday@#Seniorpug #pugsofinstagram @theedarinbrooks
