Soap opera actors enjoying the big game.

While Super Bowl LIII, half-time show, and even the commercials didn’t necessarily live up to the hype as the New England Patriots met the Los Angeles Rams, stars past and present of The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless were out in force cheering and hosting or attending Super Bowl viewing parties.

rams patriots super bowlAnticipated to be a high-scoring match-up, Super Bowl LIII turned out to be a defensive game virtually free of the exciting big offensive plays fans enjoy, and expected, from the Pats and Rams, which boast Tom Brady and Jared Goff, respectively, as quarterbacks. Accordingly, the ratings came in at a 10-year low for Super Bowl broadcasts, as the Patriots beat the Rams 13 – 3.

B&B’s Patrika Darbo appeared in the Planters Peanuts’ commercial, and Don Diamont (Bill Spencer), dressed in Rams gear, posted a hilarious new clip of his as his wife, Cindy Ambuhel’s ‘sign bitch’ on Super Bowl Sunday. B&B alum Crystal Chappell (Danielle Spencer) posted on Instagram to congratulate the Patriots on their win and added, “Boring game but ya pulled it out!!!”

I’m an outside, amateur admirer of the game, but how can you give two of the most dangerous players wide open????” Alum Tammin Sursok (Colleen Carlton) shared a photo of her sleeping newborn and noted, “Lennon’s thoughts in the superbowl.” Another alum, Michael Graziadei (Daniel Romalotti), simply shared a photo of Tom Brady, as he was cheering for the Pats.
