Kelly Kruger & Stacy Haiduk’s ‘Home Is Where the Killer Is’ Premiere

Soap star-studded daytime cast in new film.
Updated October 2, 2019: Soaps.com is excited to announce the release date for the soap star-studded film Home Is Where The Killer Is, previously titled No Place Like Home. On Tuesday October 8 soap opera fans can tune in to Netflix to watch the thriller starring Young and Restless’ Kelly Kruger (Mac), Days of our Lives’ Stacy Haiduk (Kristen DiMera, Y&R’s Patty Williams), Christopher Sean (Paul), One Life to Live’s John-Paul Lavoisier (Rex Balsom, Days’ Philip Kiriakis) and the late Kristoff St. John (Young and Restless’ Neil). The story surrounds Nicole Turner’s (Kruger) untimely breakup with her boyfriend, not to mention a recent health scare, and an eviction from her apartment. After searching for a room to rent, Nicole finds a place to stay and a friend in Dr. Julie Thomason (Haiduk). However, Nicole has no idea how controlling Julie can be, especially when it comes to their friendship and how long Nicole plans to reside in Julie’s home.
Kruger shared the movie poster on Instagram captioned, “Taking a pause from baby land to let you guys know my new movie is out October 8th on @netflix! This one is clearly a little darker. Can’t wait for you guys to see it!!❤️ (New title is Home Is where the killer is),” with Haiduk adding, “So excited this Movie will be airing on Netflix October 8th!!! New title Home is where the killer is @netflix Love these women!!!”
On October 9, 2018, Soaps.com reported a new film for readers to keep an eye out for. The Young and the Restless actress Kelly Kruger, who’s making her way back to the CBS soap as Mackenzie Browning Hellstrom, took to Instagram to announce her latest project, which happens to include various past and current soap operas stars. Written by Christina Welsh and directed by Kaila York, No Place Like Home stars Kruger as Nicole Turner with Y&R and Days of our Lives actress Stacy Haiduk (Patty Williams, Kristen DiMera) as Julie Thomason, Days’ Christopher Sean (Paul Narita) as Kyle Hayes, former Days castmate and One Life to Live actor John-Paul Lavoisier (Philip Kiriakis, Rex Balsom) as Benjamin Keane and Y&R’s Kristoff St. John (Neil Winters) as Dr. Fredericks. Richard Speight Jr. (Supernatural) also stars as James Thomason alongside Beth Littleford (Crazy Stupid Love) as Patricia Wade, Anne Leighton (Grimm) as Lauren Daley, Pallavi Sastry (Blue Bloods) as Dr. Sterling and Courtney Compton (Black Site Delta) as Alice Keane.
Kruger began documenting the filming and posted a photo on Instagram along with, “Day 1 scene 1 filming #NoPlaceLikeHome ? @dicksp8jr @marvistaent #marvistaent Can’t wait to share more with you guys!! Happy Monday.” On the second day of filming, holding a movie clapperboard, listing Paul Salmons as a cameraman, she shared another photo captioned, “Day 2 Take 2 ? I’m already sitting on a bar, I’d say it’s going pretty well ? #NoPlaceLikeHome #Marvistaent @marvistaent #setlife #behindthescenes #BTS #day2.”
Though a synopsis for the film has yet to be released, Soaps.com will update with information when details are available, as well as when fans can expect its release.
