B&B, Days, GH and Y&R actors with their special girls.

On Tuesday September 25, many celebrated National Daughters Day while others honored theirs on the fourth Sunday of the month, September 28. In fact, in numerous countries National Daughters Day is celebrated on October 1 with World Daughters Day observed on Friday September 28. The day is a time for fathers and mothers to cherish the gift of daughters. The holiday was created, in some countries, as a way to erase the stigma connected to giving birth to a girl rather than a boy while in other places around the world used as a day to rejoice having and raising a daughter. Soaps.com enjoyed seeing the soap opera actors posting photos of their loved ones and thought our readers would as well.

Read what a few had to say about their daughters then scroll through the various social media posts for more heartfelt messages and photos.

Bold and the Beautiful

Jennifer Gareis (Donna) posted a family photo captioned, “In honor of #nationaldaughterday #Mom, you are the best mom a #daughter could ask for! Sophia, you are the best daughter a mom could ask for!”

Days of our Lives

Twins Katie and Natalie Monarch (Baby Bonnie), along with their sisters Madeline, received a special message from their mom, “Hijacked by mom!!! It’s National Daughter Day! I couldn’t be more proud or love my girls more.” Mary Beth Evans (Kayla) is thankful for her daughter and expressed, “I am so lucky, proud and full of love for my sweet Dollie,” as is Martha Madison (Belle) who added, “My reason for being.” Melissa Reeves (Jennifer) didn’t realize it was National Daughters Day and stated, “Had no idea it was #nationaldaughterday these two beauties bring endless joy to our family? @emilyreevesmusic @oliviareevesfilms so blessed to have 2 daughters.”

General Hospital

Michelle Stafford (Nina) introduced her daughter Natalia and joked – with love – about how she steals her phone all of the time, “I’m just sliding in on #nationaldaughterday This is my daughter Natalia during one of the many times she steals my phone. She take videos of herself for her “YouTube channel”…She doesn’t have a you tube channel. No one in the world drives me crazier than this girl right here. No one in the world has my back like this girl right here. I love her so so so much!!” Proud papa, Brandon Barash (Johnny) shared a funny photo of his special girl, “Getting silly on this here #nationaldaughterday. This wee one has taught me everything from how to love purely, and without condition…to the true meaning of the word sacrifice…to the notion that, simply put, love is an equation — what you put into it is directly proportional to what you get out of it…to how to cross one eye and stick your tongue out at the same time. Suffice it to say, this tiny human has made me infinitely better. Stay present, parent with pure intentions guided by compassion as your compass, and you’ll get the same in return. Until I leave this planet, every day will be National Daughter Day…and even then, my hope is that the stamp I leave on her soul is of the indelible sort.”

Young and the Restless

Beth Maitland (Traci) posted a photo with her daughter captioned, “This little girl grew into the most amazing daughter of all time!!” Tracey Bregman (Lauren) gave thanks for her girls and shared, “I got so lucky in my life that I met a man when I was 22 who had two of the sweetest, most loving, funny and amazing daughters. @emilyrecht @linnyloutype1 Although, they have an incredible mom, they always let me be the other mother. It has filled my heart to watch them grow from the cutest little girls into extraordinary and beautiful women, inside and out. Add to the two, the best ‘daughter in law’ ever.”
