Former All My Children, Another World, B&B, and Y&R stars in holiday roles.
Earlier, Soaps.com brought readers the first batch of Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas premieres, featuring a few popular soap opera stars in movies through Tuesday November 20. Below are details and dates for the romance network’s 5 Night Thanksgiving movie event, which runs from Wednesday November 21 through Sunday November 25.
Christmas at the Palace
Merritt Patterson stars as Katie in Christmas at the Palace. King Alexander of San Senova hires Katie, a former professional ice-skater, to train his daughter for a Christmas ice skating performance. Though Katie and Alexander fall in love, the people of San Senova could very well have an issue with their king making Katie a foreign queen. Tune in Thursday November 22 at 8:00 PM.
Christmas at Grand Valley
Hallmark favorites, Danica McKellar and Brennan Elliott appear as Kelly and Leo in Christmas at Grand Valley. Kelly, a burnt out artist, returns to her hometown for a little relaxation hoping Christmas in Grand Valley will reinvigorate her love of art. Leo, a businessman and father, travels with his kids to Grand Valley to review a hotel and mix in a family vacation as well. When Leo and Katie’s worlds collide, a little time spent with him and his kids leads her to the discovery she was looking for. The movie premieres Thursday November 22 at 8:00 PM.
Pride, Prejudice and Mistletoe
Based on the book by Melissa de la Cruz, All My Children alum Lacey Chabert (Bianca) and Brendan Penny play Darcy and Luke in Pride, Prejudice and Mistletoe. Instead of working for her father, Darcy proved herself early-on by starting her own business. Upon her return home for the holidays, an old rivalry with restaurant owner Luke reignites as they’re forced into planning a charity event together. Darcy has a change of heart while reconnecting with her father and Luke and begins to understand what matters most in life. The movie debuts Friday November 23 at 8:00 PM.
Young and the Restless alums Tatyana Ali (Roxanne) and Dennis Haysbert (Ron), All My Children and Another World actor Dondre T. Whitfield (Terence, Jesse), plus singing sensation Patti LaBelle team up in Christmas Everlasting. After years of hard work at New York’s top corporate law firm, Lucy Toomey (Ali) is promised a promotion to partner in the New Year. However, when her older sister with special needs passes away unexpectedly, Lucy returns to Nilson’s Bay, Wisconsin to handle the estate and is filled with sorrow for not taking Alice’s last call. Things get really complicated when Alice’s attorney Peter (Whitfield), who also happens to be Lucy’s high school sweetheart, reveals that Alice’s will states Lucy must live in the family home for 30 days through the holidays in order to inherit it. Tune in Saturday November 24 at 8:00 PM.
A Shoe Addict’s Christmas
Candace Cameron Bure plays Noelle opposite Luke Macfarlane in A Shoe Addict’s Christmas. It seems as though love, a connection with her father and a dream career are out of reach for Noelle, who ends up locked in the department store where she works on a snowy Christmas Eve. When a quirky woman appears in the shoe department, claiming to be her guardian angel, Noelle’s taken on a journey revisiting Christmases past, present and future and must work with her new handsome neighbor (Macfarlane), to plan a Christmas Charity Gala. It’s only a matter of time before Noelle discovers the true meaning of Christmas. The movie airs Sunday November 25 at 8:00 PM.
Welcome to Christmas
Former Bold and the Beautiful actress Jennifer Finnigan (ex-Bridget) and Eric Mabius appear as Madison Lane and Sheriff Gage McBride in Welcome to Christmas. Madison, a resort developer, is sent to Christmas, Colorado to find a location for a new ski resort. As she enters Christmas, Madison has a minor fender-bender with the town’s welcome sign. Sheriff McBride arrives on the scene and gives the newcomer a ride into town in order to keep her appointment with the mayor. Madison has no idea that the townspeople want the new resort to be located in Christmas, a town she quickly grows to love. Please note, unlike the movies listed above, Finnigan’s premiere will air on the Hallmark Channel Sunday December 9 at 8:00 PM.
