Soap Stars Post Adorable Photos on National Dog Day
Daytime’s canine pals take the spotlight.
As many soap stars marked National Pet Day in April, Soaps.com wasn’t surprised that actors and actresses past and present from The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless once again took to social media share beloved photos for National Dog Day on Sunday August 26. We gathered some of the many posts to share with our readers.
B&B’s Patrika Darbo (Shirley), Jacob Young (Rick), Rena Sofer (Quinn) all posted photos to mark the special day, and the show’s official account shared a photo of Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy) with her pup, who often visits the set. Courtney Hope (Sally) tweeted photos of the dogs she shares with boyfriend, GH’s Chad Duell (Michael).
Days’ John Enos (Elvis Impersonator, Roger, Bobby, Y&R) posted a photo of his chihuahuas, Bruno and Duke, while Lauren Koslow (Kate) shared a photo along with the distressing news that her pet suffers from a seizure disorder. Her caption stated, “When the Sunday morning bone doesn’t cut it…. #walktime #sundaylove #anyoneupforahike #Boomer #pitbullsofinstagram #pitbulls #rescuedog #specialneedsdog Boomer lives with #seizuredisorder …if anyone has a similar situation, u kno how rough it can be… so the the good days are extra special.”

GH’s Michelle Stafford (Nina) shared an affectionate photo with her pet, Beauregard, captioned, “So apparently it’s #nationaldogday AND #womenequalityday … who worked out that schedule? Hmmmmm… I’m seeing a lot more posts for the dogs… just sayin. Since us chicks are equal to none. Here’s one for the doggies!! #beauregard.” Other GH contributors included, Bree Williamson (Claudette, Jessica Buchanan, One Life to Live), and executive, Nathan Varni.
Y&R’s Amelia Heinle (Victoria) documented the moment with video lamenting her dog, Walter, was carrying a little extra weight, along with a photo of her pet wearing a cone at the vet, while Eileen Davidson (Ashley) posted a shot of her son goofing with their dog, and animal lover Tracey Bregman (Lauren) shared a series of shots on her Instagram.
