Holiday alert, a day off for some soaps.

Spring is in the air and another holiday is right around the corner. While some soap opera fans have stated that they enjoy taking time away from work and television on the holidays, others don’t like missing their favorite soap operas for any reason. Whatever the case may be, Soaps.com has programming alerts for Monday’s May 29 Memorial Day, a United States federal holiday marked as a time to remember men and women who died while serving in the country’s armed forces.

Please take note to the changes for the following soap operas:

If you’re a CBS soap fan, we have good news for you… The network will bring viewers new episodes of “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless.” Keep an eye on our Bold and the Beautiful spoilers as well as our Young and the Restless spoilers to see if the characters have any festivities planned in Genoa City or Los Angeles this year.

NBC’s “Days of our Lives” will not be seen. Instead, viewers will see an airing of the French Open, an annual tennis tournament held at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris, France. Also, “Days” will not air on Thursday June 8 and Friday June 9.

Once again, ABC will air a repeat episode of “General Hospital.” Stay tuned for an encore of the Thursday May 4 General Hospital farewell episode, Jane Elliot’s last day as Tracy Quartermaine.

All soaps will return to regular programming on Tuesday May 30, along with Soaps.com’s daily soap opera recaps.

Whether you have plans with family and friends, or decide to simply relax for the day, Soaps.com wishes those who celebrate a happy holiday. For those who don’t, we invite you to chat with other soap fans in our various soap opera message boards.
