Bold and the Beautiful and General Hospital stars in ‘The Choir Director’
A story of scandal, hope and the ultimate sacrifice.
Soaps.com is excited to report a new project involving a few past and present soap opera actors. “The Bold and the Beautiful’s” Anna Maria Horsford (Vivienne Avant) and Obba Babatundé (Julius Avant) will join “General Hospital’s” Donnell Turner (Curtis Ashford) and Guy Nardulli (Pete Inglis) and former “Another World” and “One Life to Live” actress Valarie Pettiford (Detective Courtney Walker, Dr. Sheila Price) and “The Young and the Restless” alum Adam Lazarre-White (Nathan Hastings) in “The Choir Director.”
Directed by Trey Haley and written by Carl Weber (author of the 2014 book of the same name), the film also stars Jaleel White (“Family Matters’” Steve Urkel) and follows Bishop T.K. Wilson, who does everything in his power to make First Jamaica Ministries a success. When a scandal surrounding his first choir director is uncovered, attendance and cash flow become an issue, which leaves the Bishop depending on a new choir director to revitalize the church. However, with new hope comes the possibility that the Bishop’s job and family could be in jeopardy.
Horsford will appear as Deaconess Moss with Babatundé as Mr. Wilcox, Turner as Detective McGraw, Nardulli as Andrew Gotti, Pettiford as First Lady Charlene Wilson and Lazarre-White as Joe Miller. White plays Deacon James Black and “Saints & Sinners” veteran actor Clifton Powell stars as Bishop T.K. Wilson. Scenes for the film were shot in Los Angeles and Santa Clarita, California. Keep an eye out for its August 26 release.
