Nathan Fillion lands a role within a role on Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Former “Castle” and “One Life to Live” actor Nathan Fillion (Richard Castle; Joey Buchanan, 1995 to 2007) will be playing an actor who plays a television detective on FOX’s “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” EW has learned that Fillion’s character Mark Devereaux is the star of the fictional crime series “Serve & Protect.” Since his character plays a detective, Mark believes he has what it takes to help Jake (Andy Samberg) and Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) investigate a crime that happened on the set of his hit series. Keep an eye out for Fillion’s guest appearance sometime this spring when “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” returns from winter break to resume season four on Tuesday April 11. “One Life to Live’s” Melissa Fumero (Adriana Cramer, 1998 to 2011) plays Amy Santiago on the series.
