Five actors who have previously appeared on current soaps were found by Soaps.com to be busy performing on stage, in films, and in television, with one booking a regular role on a huge hit series.

Actress Kelly Kruger (Eva, “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Mackenzie Browning, “The Young and the Restless”) has signed on to play Joelle in the upcoming film, “Girls Night Out,” which is currently filming in Canada. The project is a documentary that looks at the issue of young women and binge-drinking. Kruger’s co-star in the movie is “B&B” alum Mackenzie Mauzy, who portrayed the late Phoebe Forrester – she plays McKenzie in the film. Kruger recently married B&B’s Darin Brooks (Wyatt Fuller), who has been on set with her. Kruger and Brooks previously spoke to Soaps.com about working together on the soap opera. Kruger shared an Instagram post from taping:
Alisha Boe to Thirteen Reasons Why.
Alisha Boe, who played “Days of our Lives'” Daphne, has been cast in a new Netflix series, “Thirteen Reasons Why.” Boe will play Jessica in the drama/mystery about a teenage girl who leaves a suicide note in the form of cassette tapes, which she sends to the 13 people she blamed for driving her to kill herself.
Louise Sorel performs in I Remember Mama.
Daytime veteran Louise Sorel, best known for her portrayal of “Days of our Lives'” Vivian Alamain, has returned to the stage, and recently wrapped up a stint in the Two Rivers Theater production of “I Remember Mama.” The play told the tale of the Hansons, a Norwegian working class family, and won rave reviews from Broadway World‘s Marina Kennedy, who called it “an absolutely superb production.” Sorel’s other daytime credits include “Santa Barbara’s” Augusta Lockridge and “Passions'” Dort.
Khary Payton joins The Walking Dead.
Former “General Hospital” actor Khary Payton, who played Port Charles’ Terrell Jackson in 2011, has been cast on “The Walking Dead.” According to The Hollywood Reporter, Payton will appear as a new series regular, Ezekiel, the leader of the Kingdom, a new community of survivors. The actor shared a tweet and photo pertaining to his new role:

Eric Roberts to guest star on Code Black.
“The Young and the Restless” alum Eric Roberts, who played Genoa City lawyer Vance Abrams, will appear in the upcoming second season of “Code Black,” according to Deadline. Also guest-starring in the episode entitled “Life and Limb” will be Camryn Manheim (“The Practice”) and Alexandra Grey (“Glee”). Roberts will play the character of Vince Savetti on the CBS drama, which surrounds residents at Angels Memorial Hospital. The series returns in the fall on Wednesday nights at 10:00 PM EST. Roberts tweeted from the set:
