June’s casting news included some well-known guest stars, new younger faces, and ghostly returns.

The Bold and the Beautiful:
“The Talk’s” Sheryl Underwood appeared on “B&B” in June as Emmy, Chaz Bono reprised his role of Reverend Rydell, and Devon Owens and Tom Stacy appeared as two men in trouble with the law. Theodora Greece was back as Bill’s assistant Alison, and “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” alum Jay Rodriguez appeared as a photographer. Days of our Lives:
Kate Mansi finished her run as Salem’s Abigail in June, and Marci Miller was cast in the role – she’ll debut in the fall. Robert Scott Wilson also completed his stint as Ben. News broke that Freddie Smith was back on contract as Sonny, and Ximena Duque debuted as Blanca. Peter Reckell returned as Bo, Andrew Masset appeared as Larry, Joseph Mascolo was seen as Stefano, and Scott Shilstone played grown-up Zack – all were in Hope’s dream/vision. Nadia Bjorlin returned as Chloe, Alla Korot debuted as Janet, Gina Comparetto played the blonde who picked up Philip, Charles Janasz appeared as Mr. Brown, and Matthew Ashford was back as a Jack apparition. Marsha Clark was cast as Judge Karen Fitzpatrick, and Craig Welzbacher was cast as Myron – both will appear in November. Alexander Bruszt will be leaving as Fynn at the end of July, and a casting call for a new doctor, Dr. Caleb Cooper, went out. “DOOL” also put out casting calls for 45 – 55 year-old Dr. Lee, and for a prison inmate named Annabelle in the 24 – 30 year age range. Jen Lilley confirmed her impending departure as Theresa, and Martha Madison gave her final airdate as Belle. Find out when she leaves through Days of our Lives comings and goings.

General Hospital:
Roger Howarth renewed his contract to continue playing Port Charles’ Franco, and news broke that Ingo Rademacher would return as Jasper ‘Jax’ Jacks at the end of June. Dorell Anthony was on as Mark the cop, Bradford Anderson reprised his role of Spinelli, Tequan Richmond returned as T.J., and Diane Delano debuted as Margarethe. Bree Williamson began appearing as Claudette in flashbacks, Shari Belafonte was back as Mayor Lomax, and Jeffrey Vincent Parise was seen as Carlos’ ghost. Jazmyn Skye Vale was cast as Athena and “All My Children” alum James Patrick Stuart landed an unidentified role – both debut in July. News came that Ashley Jones was back taping as Parker, though no first airdate is known. The Young and the Restless:
Ray Wise returned as Ian Ward in June, and Hunter King was dropped to recurring status as Genoa City’s Summer. News came that Michael E. Knight will soon complete his run as Dr. Simon Neville, and that Yvette Nicole Brown would be back as a reporter again in July. Two new youngsters were cast on “Y&R;” Cali May Kinder will be playing Bella, and Sienna Mercuri landed the role of Katherine ‘Katie’ Abbott. A casting call went out for two new roles – Lucinda, an African-American female in her late 60s or early 70s, and Ellis, a man of the same ethnicity and age range.
