Abe Vigoda dead at 94
Goodbye to a veteran actor and soap alum.
Emmy nominated actor Abe Vigoda passed away on Tuesday January 26 of natural causes at the age of 94 at his daughter’s home in Woodland Park, New Jersey. He was best known as Detective Phil Fish on “Barney Miller” (1974 to 1981) and had many credits to his name, including “Law & Order,” “Promise Land,” “Touched by an Angel,” as well as lent his voice to “The Godfather” videogames in later years.
Vigoda appeared in daytime on “As the World Turns” as Joe Kravitz in 1985, “Dark Shadows” as Ezra Braithwaite /Otis Greene from 1969 to 1970 and as Lyle DeFranco on “Santa Barbara” in 1989.
