Soaps.com’s comings and Goings: Suvivor comes to daytime, and Jason Thompson is cast on Y&R

Casting moves.
December casting news included a couple of new casting calls, some actors from past soaps landing new roles, and quite a few returns.
The Bold and the Beautiful:
Actor Seth Colton played an electrician on “B&B” early in December, and Todd McKee was back in his recurring role of Jake. Felisha Cooper came on board mid-month as Sasha, and the show also issued a casting call seeking a young actress to play ‘Carlie’. Days of our Lives:
December brought the news that Wally Kurth and Judi Evans had been bumped to recurring status as Salem’s Justin and Adrienne. John-Paul Lavoisier began his stint as Philip Kiriakis, Robert Scott Wilson concluded his run as Ben, and Tamara Braun returned as Ava. Actresses Mariah Bonner and Kalyn Hemphill portrayed models near month’s end, and a casting call went out for the role of a career criminal named Monahan in the 50 – 60 year age range. Also this month, news came that the role of Parker had been recast with Christian Ganiere, “Another World” alum Alla Korot was cast as Janet Bernard, and that fan favorite Molly Burnett would be returning. General Hospital:
December saw many returns in Port Charles including, John J. York as Mac, Tristan Rogers as Robert, Brandon Barash as Johnny, Sebastian Roche as Jerry, and Emily Wilson as Ellie. The Young and the Restless:
Beth Maitland was back as Genoa City’s Traci in December, and Jerry Douglas appeared as John’s ghost. News broke that the role of Billy Abbott, being vacated by Burgess Jenkins, would be filled by “General Hospital” alum Jason Thompson, and that Mara McCaffrey had been cast as Natalie. Scott Elrod concluded his run as Joe when the character went to prison, and it was announced that “Survivor’s” Joe Anglim and Jeremy Collins would make guest appearances.
