Former actors from “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “Days of our Lives,” “General Hospital” and “The Young and the Restless” have been busy these days and Soaps.com has reports to share involving a family special to help rescue dogs, primetime roles, a move across the country, baby news, stage performances and more.

Betty White and other soap alums to attend The All-Star Dog Rescue Celebration.
On Thursday November 26, Thanksgiving, various stars will gather to help raise money for organizations that help rescue dogs. The second annual “All-Star Dog Rescue Celebration” will be executively produced by animal advocate Hilary Swank and Michael Levitt to celebrate rescue dogs and honor those who care for animals in need. Celebrity guests who will help introduce the audience to adoptable rescue dogs include “The Bold and the Beautiful’s” Betty White (Ann Douglas, 2006 to 2009), “The Young and the Restless'” Jenna Dewan-Tatum (Donna, 2004) and her husband Channing Tatum (“Magic Mike”), Emmy Rossum (“As the World Turns'” Abigail Williams, 1999) and “All My Children’s” Josh Duhamel (Leo du Pres, 1999 to 2011) and his wife Fergie, as well as Kristen Bell (“House of Lies”), Scarlett Johansson (“Lucy”), Kristin Chenoweth (“Glee”), Whitney Cummings (“Whitney”), Max Greenfield (“New Girl”), Jerry O’Connell (“Jake and the Never Land Pirates”) and his wife Rebecca Romijn (“The Librarians”), Amber Riley (“Glee”) and singers Miley Cyrus, Paula Abdul, Kesha, Miranda Lambert, Queen Latifah, LeAnn Rimes, P!nk, plus Cesar Millan, Kathy Griffin, Julianne Hough, Randy Jackson, Kelly Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne. Tune in to FOX at 8:00 PM.

Mario Lopez heads to Rydell High in Grease: Live.
“Extra” host and “Saved by the Bell” and “The Bold and the Beautiful” alum Mario Lopez (Dr. Christian Ramírez, 2006) has joined the cast of “Grease: Live” as Vince Fontaine, the radio host of Rydell High’s annual dance. The much anticipated musical remake of the 1978 movie also stars Julianne Hough as Sandy, Aaron Tveit as Danny, Vanessa Hudgens as Rizzo, Carly Rae Jepsen as Frenchie, and Keke Palmer as Marty. Be sure check out its premiere on Sunday January 31 on FOX.

Agnes Bruckner pregnant.
From 1997 to 1999 Agnes Bruckner played “The Bold and the Beautiful’s” Bridget Forrester and most recently appeared as Nikki Banks on the A&E canceled series “The Returned.” These days the actress and her boyfriend Alefaio Brewer are expecting their first child together. Soaps.com sends them our very best! The actress shared a photo on Instagram of a little dilemma that always comes with being pregnant.

Paul Telfer on Once Upon a Time.
Paul Telfer recently appeared as bad boy Xander Cook on “Days of our Lives” and is back onscreen as Lord Macintosh on ABC’s “Once Upon a Time.” He first appeared on Sunday November 1 in the ABC fairytale drama in the episode titled “The Bear and the Bow.” Tune in for more of Lord Macintosh Sundays at 8:00 PM. Prior to his “Days” role, Telfer appeared on “NCIS” as Damon Werth from 2007 to 2010 and played Alexander on The Vampire Diaries from 2012 to 2013.

Annie Ilonzeh to appear on Empire.
Annie Ilonzeh played the role of Maya Ward on “General Hospital” from 2010 to 2011. Her character married Ethan Lovett (Nathan Parsons) and left town to take care of her aunt. It wasn’t until Ethan found her with another man when she informed him she wouldn’t be returning to Port Charles. Since leaving daytime Ilonzeh has had a big primetime career with roles on “Entourage,” “Charlie’s Angels,” “Switched at Birth,” “Drop Dead Diva,” “Arrow” and “Person of Interest” to name a few. She’ll turn up next as a tough reporter named Harper Scott on “Empire.” Fans can expect to see her starting on the show’s final eight episodes, set to air when the FOX series returns from midseason break in the spring. “Empire” currently airs Wednesdays at 9:00 PM.

Nazanin Boniadi to play female lead in Ben-Hur.
Nazanin Boniadi is known to daytime fans for her role as Leyla Mir on “General Hospital” (2007 to 2009) and “General Hospital: Night Shift” (2007). Not only did she play Nora on “How I Met Your Mother” from 2011 to 2014, she went on to play Adnan Salif on “Scandal,” Fara Sherazi on “Homeland” and will play the lead female role of Esther in the 2016 movie “Ben-Hur,” based on the 1880 novel by Lew Wallace. Jack Huston will play Judah Ben-Hur, opposite Boniadi, who survives years of slavery after being falsely accused and sets out to get revenge against the one person who betrayed him the most – his best friend.

Kristen Alderson says goodbye to Los Angeles.
Former soap opera actress Kristen Alderson has said goodbye to Los Angeles, California and moved back to her Pennsylvania hometown. The actress broke into daytime in 1998 as Starr Manning on “One Life to Live,” a role she played until the soap was canceled on ABC in 2012. From there she crossed over to “General Hospital” as Starr then was cast in a new character, Kiki Jerome. Alderson left General Hospital in the beginning of this year to pursue other things. In her tweet she also said goodbye to Chad Duell (“GH’s” Michael Corinthos), who she’d been dating for some time. The couple has since broken up.

Albie Selznick’s Smoke and Mirrors at the Odyssey Theatre.
Albie Selznick has turned up on soap operas “Days of our Lives” (Bronson, 2014) and “The Young and the Restless (Detective Owen Pomerantz, 2009 to 2011) and has had numerous primetime roles, most recently on “Switched at Birth,” Grey’s Anatomy and “Castle.” The actor can currently be seen at the Odyssey Theatre in one of Los Angeles’ longest running shows “Smoke and Mirrors.” Selznick not only created the production but also stars in the magical hit where exciting illusions are brought to life in the semi-autobiographical about Selznick’s voyage to becoming a Master Magician. Performances run from now through Sunday December 20 and tickets can be purchased by calling 1-310-477-2055 ext. 2 or visiting the Odyssey Theatre at 2055 S. Sepulveda Boulevard in Los Angeles, California.

Darius McCrary lands recurring role on Minority Report.
Darius McCrary played the popular role of Malcolm Winters on “The Young and the Restless” from 2009 to 2011 and appears as Isaac Rayney in HBO’s “The Leftovers.” The actor has landed the recurring role of Aman Shale, a man with the Department of Homeland Security, on FOX’s “Minority Report.” Keep an eye out for the new character Mondays at 9:00 PM. McCrary will always be remembered for his longtime role as Eddie Winslow on “Family Matters” (1989 to 1998).

Vanessa Marano’s Switched at Birth renewed for season five.
Vanessa Marano played Eden Baldwin on “The Young and the Restless” (2008 to 2010) and went on to have roles in several primetime hits, including “Dexter” as Rebecca Mitchell (2009 to 2011). In 2011 she landed a starring role as Bay Kennish in ABC Family’s hit series “Switch at Birth,” which has been renewed to bring fans a fifth season. The season four finale aired on Monday October 26 and fans can expect the new season sometime in 2016 when ABC Family changes its name to Freeform in January.
