Casting notes.
In December, the comings and goings included a couple of noteworthy exits, one or two new casting calls, and many returns.
The Bold and the Beautiful:
December 12 marked Kim Matula’s last day on air as Hope Logan, and Katherine Kelly Lang was still not back on the canvas as Brooke, but will be seen in February. Shane Conrad played an attorney, Zane Achor returned as Baby Will, Othello Clark had a few appearances as Othello, and Fred Willard popped in as John Forrester. News broke that the character Wyatt will head off screen while actor Darin Brooks is shooting a movie, and that “Big Brother’s” Zach Rance would be making another appearance in February. In January, fans will see Reign Edwards debut as Maya’s sister, Nadine, and a fan favorite will return later in the month. Find out who she is through The Bold and the Beautiful Comings and Goings.
Days of our Lives:
In December, “Days” put out a casting call for an actor of any ethnicity in the 40 – 55 year age to play the intimidating Agent Carter in Salem. Amanda Corday returned as Karen, Melissa Archer debuted as Serena, Spencer Neville began his run as Derrick, Danielle Rayne played Lisa, Jonathan Bray was Dr. Richard, and Marie Wilson popped back in as Bree. Also this month, Bill and Susan Hayes’ great-granddaughters appeared, Layla Alizada played Kelly, Jaden Betts appeared as Owen, Jean-Christophe Febbrari was the casino manager, and Brynda Mattox portrayed Lia. Returns included Patsy Pease as Kimberly, Camila Banus as Gabi, and Drake Hogestyn as John. News broke that an “All My Children” alum would be joining the show in 2015. General Hospital:
Maurice Bernard re-signed his contract as Port Charles' Sonny in December, and the show issued a casting call for a beautiful Caucasian actress in her early 20s for a contract role beginning in February. Kelly Thiebaud was last seen as Britt on December 8, Ilene Kristen returned as Roxy, and Betsy Franco appeared as Franco's mother. Other returns included Brandon Barash as Johnny, Robb Derringer as Agent Sloane, and Rick Hearst as Ric. Another "GH" alum is also said to be coming back. The Young and the Restless:
Genoa City casting moves in December included appearances by James Clow as Dr. Larson, Jean-Christophe Febbrari as Tobias, Robert Gant as David Sherman, Nadine Nicole as Gwen, and Brad Benedict as Lars. Steve Burton re-signed his contract as Dylan, and McKenna Grace slipped in for Aly Lind as Faith while she shoots a TNT pilot.
