Rick made a shocking announcement on “B&B.” Rafe was fired on “Days.” Jordan forced Julian to back off on “GH,” and Adam found out Gabriel had a wife on “Y&R.”

The Bold and the Beautiful:
Rick again urged Eric to sign the papers giving him control over Forrester. Eric agreed to think about it then consulted with Carter, who warned Rick could destroy the company. While working on designs at Forrester, Caroline confided in Ridge that she and Rick hadn’t slept together yet. Ridge couldn’t make sense of Rick’s actions or lack thereof and later learned about the paper he wanted Eric to sign. Before Ridge could prevent it, Eric signed the company over to Rick for one year. Rick then announced to all that his marriage to Caroline was over and he planned to run Forrester with Maya. Elsewhere, Quinn urged Wyatt to go to Hope to resolve their issues. Surprisingly, Liam gave Wyatt his full support and had other things on his mind, like Rick playing Caroline and threatening Ivy’s job. Days of our Lives:
Sonny admitted to Will he’d taken their money without asking. After things calmed down between the men, Will met with Paul, who learned he’d never pitch again. Paul confided his diagnosis in Will. He assured Paul they’d spin the article in a positive way. Later, Paul professed his love to Sonny, saying they could finally be a couple. When Sonny refused him, Paul joined Will and leaned in for a kiss. Elsewhere in Salem, Chad made sure Roman found out that Rafe withheld information in Gabi’s case. While Roman fired Rafe, Melanie shared an emotional visit with Gabi then ran into Jordan. Melanie warned Jordan to be careful with Chad. Paige demanded a meeting with JJ, who warned they wouldn’t be getting back together because he cheated on her. John spent New Year’s with Marlena, longing to have a new beginning. General Hospital:
Jordan prevented Julian from shooting her by claiming to be under Duke's protection. Jake left Liz's in hopes of finding out who he was. Carly hired Jake as her new bartender then kissed him at the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve. While they talked about Jason, other mixed-matched couples shared spontaneous kisses as well, including Lucy and Duke and Sam and Patrick. Metro Court room keys were dispensed and in the confusion were given to the wrong people. Nathan and Maxie got their wires crossed a few times before finally making their way back to each other in Port Charles before the New Year. The Young and the Restless:
Hilary pretended to throw away her birth control pills after Neil suggested it and later received a text from Devon, one Neil peeked at. Elsewhere, Jack agreed to stay quiet about Adam, who demanded Jack hire him at Jabot. Later, after Sage learned Nick was Victor's son, Nick recognized and reminded Gabriel of their days at the academy. Many celebrated New Year's in Genoa City. Avery was surprised to see Ashley as Joe's date at The Club. Billy was held up, due to an issue with Katie, which left Adam time to spend with Chelsea as Gabriel. Phyllis ran out of gas, giving Kelly alone time with Jack. Over at The Underground, Noah announced he had no plans to get married, as Austin became jealous over Summer and Kyle's call. The night ended with Adam being summoned to Constance's deathbed, where she confronted him for not being Gabriel. Adam also learned Sage was Gabriel's wife.
