New Girl
TVLine has learned that Erinn Hayes (“Children’s Hospital”) will guest star as a school nurse named Ruth in the FOX series. The character’s profession may sound boring, but considering the nurse is described as trashy, ditzy and has an issue with the new ‘no fraternization’ policy, she’ll be anything but! Oh, and did we mention that she’s having a fling with Coach (Damon Wayans Jr.)? Keep an eye out for Hayes sometime during season four, which premieres on Tuesday September 16 at 9:00 PM.

Nurse Jackie:
Canceled. The Showtime series starring Edie Falco will air its seventh and final season in 2015. The cast broke the news through this photo below via Twitter on Wednesday September 10.

Once Upon A Time:
Frances O’Connor (“Mr. Selfridge”) will appear in flashbacks as Colette, Belle’s (Emilie de Ravin) mom. The actress will turn up during episode six of season four, which premieres on ABC at 8:00 PM on Sunday September 28.

Red Band Society:
Interview! Soaps.com sat in on a conference call with Octavia Spencer, who plays Nurse Jackson on the new FOX series. When asked about her experience working with a lot of younger actors, and whether she learned from them or was able to teach them anything, the actress replied, “I’m glad that I don’t have to teach. This is an amazing group of professionals. They’re really brilliant, very hard working, very, very intuitive of young actors. You know, a lot of them have worked a lot, maybe not a lot in television, not a lot in film; but, they do have great work ethics. So, what I learn from them is to continue to enjoy the process and have that free spirit about approaching the work and to not be so rigid. I think if anything, they learn from me is about professionalism.” Tune in at 9:00 PM on Wednesday September 17 for the premiere, as the premise revolves around a group of teenagers living in a hospital.
