Beacon Hill The Series has been taping Season 2 in Los Angeles along with newcomer, Nadia Bjorlin, (Chloe, Days of our Lives) who is taking over for Alicia Minshew (ex-Kendall, All My Children) as Sara Preston, since Minshew was unable to join filming due to a personal matter, Mark Hapka (Nathan Horton, Days of our Lives) who is taking on the role of Rex Preston now that it has been vacated by John-Paul Lavoisier (Rex, All My Children) and Alexis J. Smith will be playing Carter Matthews. Back in 2014 Soaps.com reported that Crystal Chappell (Open Book Productions), Guiding Light’s Ricky Paull Goldin (producer), As The World Turns’ Hillary B. Smith (producer), Albert Alarr (director) and Paul Antonelli (music supervisor) had teamed up to bring viewers their online project Beacon Hill The Series with the premise surrounding New York City reporter, Sara Preston, who was called to return home after her grandfather, Senior Massachusetts Senator William Preston, suffered a stroke. Once there, she saw her dysfunctional family and reconnected with her ex-girlfriend after six years. Fans of the show will finally be able to find out who was at the door, and what the heck was in that envelope.

Other soap stars involved in the project include Ricky Paull Goldin (ex-Jake, Bold and Beautiful’s Jesse) as Andrew Miller, As The World Turns’ Scott Bryce (ex-Craig) as Senator Tom Wesley, The Bold And The Beautiful’s Crystal Chappell (Danielle, Venice The Series’ Gina) as Claire Preston, Days of our Lives’ Louise Sorel (ex-Vivian) as Emily Tanner and Sarah Brown (ex-Madison) as Katherine Wesley, Guiding Light’s Tina Sloan (ex-Lillian, “Venice’s” Katherine) as Louise Casell, One Life To Live’s Melissa Archer (Natalie) as Evelyn Preston, Ron Raines (Carl, Guiding Light’s ex-Alan) as Senator William Preston, Jessica Morris (ex-Jennifer) as Diane Hamilton and The Young And The Restless’ Rebecca Mozo as Laura Parker (ex-barista).
