Army Wives:
Canceled. Lifetime has canceled its longest running series after seven seasons. Though fans will not be able to see a season eight, the network will produce a two-hour special with the cast set to air sometime in 2014. The series debuted on June 3, 2007 and aired its last episode on June 9, 2013.

Special sneak peek! On Wednesday October 2 at 8:00 PM the CW will air a one-hour special to include a look back at season one of the series with a special sneak peek into season two, which premieres on Wednesday October 9 at 8:00 PM.

Robert Knepper (“Cult,” “Prison Break”) will appear in a guest starring role on the new NBC series as a target of the FBI. Look for the actor to turn up in episode five. Tune in Mondays at 10:00 PM.

Boardwalk Empire:
Renewed! After averaging a gross audience of 7.5 million viewers this season HBO has renewed its series for a fifth season. “Thanks to Terry Winter, Martin Scorsese, Tim Van Patten, Howard Korder and their stellar team, ‘Boardwalk Empire’ remains in a class by itself,” said Michael Lombardo, president, HBO Programming. “I look forward to another electrifying season of this impeccably crafted series.” For now, in Sunday’s September 29 9:00 PM episode titled “All In,” Nucky might find himself another potential partner during a high stakes poker game in Florida. Frank and Al get Van’s help during their collection rounds. Valentin and Dunn discuss business, and a college prank is carried way too far. The series also took home five Emmys® for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series (Bobby Cannavale), Outstanding Art Direction for a Single-Camera Series, Outstanding Hairstyling for a Single-Camera Series, Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (One Hour) and Outstanding Sound Editing for a Series.

Eastbound & Down:
In HBO’s Sunday October 6 10:00 PM episode titled “Chapter 23” Kenny pays Guy Young a visit in regards to a career change, and Stevie is asked to rejoin the Powers Team.

Game Of Thrones:
The HBO series received two Emmys® for Outstanding Makeup for a Single-Camera Series (Non-Prosthetic) and Outstanding Special Visual Effects.

iHeart Radio Musical Festival Night 1 and 2:
Concert special! The CW will air the two-hour special on Monday September 30 at 8:00 PM. Top musical acts and CW actors will join together during the Las Vegas concert extravaganza at the MGM Grand Hotel. Those scheduled to attend include Katy Perry, Fun, Elton John, Keith Urban, J Cole, Queen + Adam Lambert, Muse, Tiesto, Robin Thicke and more. Then on Tuesday October 1 at 8:00 PM the fun continues with two more hours of music from Justin Timberlake, Paul McCartney, Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, Tim McGraw, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Phoenix, Ke$ha, Drake, Miguel and more.

Fans of the character Wynn Duffy will be seeing more of him on the FX series. Jere Burns, who has appeared in the role since 2010, is now a series regular. Stay tuned for season five’s return in January 2014.

Major Crimes:
Jon Tenney, who played Agent Fritz Howard in 2012, will return to the TNT series during episode sixteen sometime in December. The actor will also direct episode fifteen and has directed one other for the show in the past. New episodes will return on Monday November 25.

Mike & Molly:
Susan Sarandon (“30 Rock,” “The Big C”) will appear in a guest starring role as a literary celebrity named JC Small. Stay tuned to the CBS series’ season four return date.

Renewed! Despite threats of cancellation, due to weekly rating drops, ABC has green-lighted its series for season two. Alyssa Milano, Yunjin Kim, Rochelle Aytes and Jes Macallan star.

People’s Choice Awards:
Next year’s 2014 awards show will broadcast live on CBS from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday January 8 at 9:00 PM.
