Morgan Freeman and Barbra Streisand To Receive Honors!
Before you ask, yes, acclaimed movie star Morgan Freeman and actress/singer Barbra Streisand really do have a few Daytime appearances under their belts, but before we refresh your memories on that, Soaps.com is happy to report that both will be honored at this year’s 31st Annual Kennedy Center Awards!
Though the Gala will be taped on December 7, the special awards show will air on CBS on December 30 where Morgan and Barbra will be honored for a lifetime full of contributions to our American culture through their singing, acting and songwriting talents!
Morgan Freeman made his Daytime debut in 1981 on “Ryan’s Hope” as Cicero Murphy then went on to appear on “Another World” from 1982 to 1984 as Dr. Roy Bingham. Though Barbra Streisand wasn’t exactly a soap star, longtime fans of Guiding Light may remember her 1980 appearance where she performed her song “No More Tears.”
Soaps.com wants to congratulate these two icons of the entertainment industry! Your success is much deserved!
