Although there has been talk during recent months about a possible actors strike, the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) have reached an agreement!

After seventeen days of meetings between the two groups, and a little bit of compromise, both parties were determined to come up with the fairest way to meet the needs of the actors. This latest agreement adds to the three hundred and ten agreements made by the AMPTP since 1982 – and was ranked as the fourth major one reached in 2008.

The AMPTP will still be scheduling talks with the Screen Actors Guild with a main goal to prevent any further strikes to hit the industry. is very happy to bring some reassurance to those who have been worrying since the 2007 Writers Strike, which lasted from November 2007 until February 2008!
