Soap Stars: What Do They Watch?!
Julie Clark Robinson asked Yeniffer Behrens (ex-Marianna on GH) if she was a soap watcher! She tells Julie, "I grew up watching GH and Days of Our Lives. I wouldn't mind working on Days, actually it would be amazing to me, I know all the characters. I love Bo and Hope and Marlena...)
Julie Clark Robinson asked GH's Tyler Christopher (Nikolas Cassadine) if he watches any other soap and why he watches! Tyler says, "I watch only GH but I am a judge this year for best supporting actress so I will be able to see the work of many from other shows."
Lori Wilson asked Dominic Rains (Dr. Leo Julian, General Hospital) asked him if he watched other soaps. After all, some guys like to watch as well! Here's what he said... "In all honesty I've never watched and don't watch soaps so I wouldn't have an answer outside of who I work with and what I see on stage. In fact I don't even have basic cable to watch TV."
Amy Mistretta spoke with Justis Bolding (Sarah Roberts) from OLTL about her favorite show on television recently. She found out it was "Lost".
Here's what Elizabeth Hendrickson had to say about watching soaps to Lori Wilson. "I’ve been tuning in [to AMC] recently because Rebecca’s [Budig, Greenlee] is back on and Rebecca and I are great friends. But it’s funny, you know I started watching The Young and the Restless because I have to learn about this whole new city and all these new storylines and characters, so they overlap, so I sort of go back and forth between the two of them, but yeah, I mean I love tuning in to seeing all my old friends." She says, about growing up..."I never really watched any soaps growing up. So I started becoming more familiar with them and turning to different shows to see what daytime was all about when I started, but I’ve never really been a soap junkie."

Kristi Knight spoke with Cameron Mathison (Ryan Lavery, AMC) before the first annual Soap Cruise, when the fall TV season had just kicked off. She asked if he was Tivoing anything and Cameron says, “I’ve got a lot of interest but I’m so busy that all I watch is cartoons in the morning with my son!”
Lori Wilson asked Colleen Zenk-Pinter (Barbara Ryan, ATWT) if she watched other soaps. Colleen says, “Not anymore. I used to. When I was younger I used to. Actually in college I got hooked on the whole ABC lineup, which is where I first started watching soap operas because when my grandmother would watch As the World Turns, I would walk out of the room. I watched Edge of Night with her; I didn’t watch As the World Turns. No, I don’t anymore so I don’t really keep up with what people are doing.”
Lori Wilson asked Martha Madison (ex-Belle Brady, DAYS) if she watched other soaps. Martha says, “I watch several of them off and on. I can’t say I’m a religious watcher of any of them, but I watch General Hospital probably most I would say. I watch The Young and the Restless a lot and I watch All My Children and One Life to Live now that Farah’s [Fath] (Gigi) on there, I’ve watched it a few times. She’s been great. That’s all she needed was a good role with good writing, because she’s so good at what she does and she wasn’t really allowed to do very much of that.
