We are happy to announced that The Young and the Restless has won this year’s Writers Guild Award in the Daytime Serial category! Soaps.com wants to send the show, its crew and cast a much deserved congratulations! The Young and The Restless, along with all the other nominees, have always been winners in our eyes!

Also receiving an award in the Television On-Air Promotion category was the Days of Our Lives: Mini-Series, The Bradys VS. The Demeras written by Judie Henninger of NBC! Our best goes out to Judie and her crew as well!

Although the Writer’s Strike is still in full force, the Writers Guild of America has just announced this year’s daytime nominees for the 2008 Writers Guild Television and Radio Awards!

The soaps appearing in this year’s Daytime Serial category include ABC’s All My Children and General Hospital and CBS’s As the World Turns, and The Young and the Restless!

Also receiving a nomination in the On-Air Promotion (Radio or Television) Category is the Days of Our Lives: Mini-Series titled “The Brady’s Vs. The Dimera’s written by NBC’s Judie Henninger!

Both the WGA West and East represent all motion picture, broadcast, cable and new media writers in the entertainment and news industries. This year’s awards will take place on Saturday, February 9, 2008 concurrently at both the Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles, California and at the Hudson Theatre at the Broadway Millennium Hotel in New York City.
