Passions’ Melinda Sward Lands a New Role
Passions only completed shooting in March but that hasn’t stopped Melinda Sward (Pretty Crane) from leaping back to the big screen. The actress is currently on set shooting the film Table For Three. She will play the role of Nina in the romantic comedy being produced by Starz. The film is being shot by its author, Michael Samonek, and tells the story of a single man who invites a seemingly perfect couple to come and live in his apartment. It doesn’t take long for them to completely dominate his life, sabotaging his chances for romances of his own and making him a perpetual third wheel in his own living space.
The film stars Brandon Routh, best known as the recent incarnation of Superman, as well as Sophia Bush of One Tree Hill fame. Rounding out the cast is Jesse Bradford, Jennifer Morrison, Johnny Galecki, and Liza Lapira. The film is expected to be released later this year.
Sward joined the cast of Passions in July of last year, originating the role of the scarred and scorned heiress Pretty Crane. She arrived in Harmony after roles on such shows as All About the Andersons, That ’70s Show and The Bold and the Beautiful. The twenty-nine year old actress has also appeared in the films Cats and Mice and Falling in Love in Ponga Ponga. More recently, she could be seen on the DVD release Wieners.
