Powell Lord returns! (Soaps.com)

Welcome to Amy’s
“One Life in a Week!” (April 27 – May 1)

Watching Cole and Starr, I feel as though I’m watching the show from years ago when Marcie helped Michael kicked his drug addiction. Though it’s not very original, I’m afraid to say that there will always be a place for love, sex, drugs and lies in soap operas, so it’s a very real thing – even in a fictional world. Now with Todd getting temporary custody of the kids, I think we’re going to see more of the old Starr/Cole relationship, where they’ll have to sneak around to be together. I will say, during the Markko and Langston scene, where they almost had sex, I was happy to hear them reflect on Starr and Cole and vow not to make the same mistake – as I don’t think the show could handle another teenage pregnancy so soon.

Jessica and Brody finally did the deed! Though I have liked these two as a couple from day one, I was a little saddened to see Jessica move on from Nash – call me a sap, but his death still crushes me, as a fan. I thought Jessica and Nash were the quickest super couple to arise in soaps. Okay, now that I’ve mourned a bit more, I can tell you, without trying to sound contradictory, I’m all for this new couple!

Rex’s father sprang to life, literally, and I’m now convinced that he is/was someone of great power – why else would he be able to so easily convince a nurse to do his bidding where Roxy is concerned? Whoever this person is, I wish the show would get on with it and reveal his identity, as I don’t know how much more I can take of watching Gigi allow Stacy to take everything from her, and it broke my heart to watch poor Shane cry himself to sleep after Rex and Gigi told him about their breakup.

Schuyler is my personal hero this week, the way he stood up to Stacy, never allowing her to seduce her way out of his suspicions. I was a little disappointed in Rex for not taking the bag of blood a bit more seriously. I mean, he could have at least called Michael about the matter!
