Remembering One Life to Live Actress Dody Goodman…
Soaps.com regrets having to deliver this sad news today. Former One Life to Live actress Dody Goodman passed away this past Sunday, June 22, 2008 at the age of ninety-three as a result of a long illness.
Born on October 28, 1914, although starting her daytime career on Search For Tomorrow in 1968 as Althea Franklin, Dody went on to appear on Texas as Mavis Cobb in 1982 then ultimately found her next character on One Life to Live, first as Molly McDermott in 1985 then again as a St. Ann’s nun, Sister Michael Marie, in 2001.
Over the span of her impressive acting career, some of Dody’s film appearances include “Black Ribbon”, “Family Reunion: A Relative Nightmare,” the Vanilla Ice hit “Cool As Ice” as Mae McCallister, “Max Dugan Returns,” “Splash” and probably most notoriously her character Blanche Hodel, the zany secretary at Rydell High in Grease and Grease 2!
Soaps.com wants to send our deepest sympathies to those who knew and loved Dody Goodman. She added a bit of laughter to every character she played, and her humor will live on through the many marks she made in the entertainment business today.
