Remembering a Daytime icon… regrets to report that former “One Life To Live” director David Pressman passed away on Monday August 29 at the age of 97. David’s career began as a teacher at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. During the McCarthy era he was blacklisted then went on to work at “Another World” and directed many Broadway productions. Prior to David’s entertainment career he served in the US Army during WWII and earned two purple hearts.

In the early 60s David joined the directing team at “One Life To Live,” where he won three Daytime Emmys during his twenty-five years with the show. He was 85 when he left Daytime. Watch the video interview below where David talked about his work in Daytime.
