Speaking out…

After news broke yesterday that All My Children and One Life To Live Would Migrate Online, Llanview’s cast and crew took to social media networks with their reactions. Here’s who’s talking so far. We’ll update with any new responses as well…

Jerry VerDorn (Clint) posted on his Facebook, “Thank you for getting it done. And it was Fan Response who got this accomplished. You overcame corporate indifference and “OLTL” will live on for many years. Until this moment, nothing like this has ever been done. Love, Jerry/Clint.”

Michael Easton (John) posted on his Facebook, ” Stunning news… A victory for all of the loyal fans who worked tirelessly to save “One Life To Live” and “All My Children.” Against all odds you achieved something extraordinary. Your turn to take a bow. We applaud you…”

Kristen Alderson (Starr) tweeted, “Super happy for the fans of “AMC” and “OLTL” today. I’m interested to see how they plan on having this work.”

Robin Strasser (Dorian) tweeted, “Just found out about licensing deals “AMC/OLTL!” Big shift is a gift. Just know all the fans got this to happen! Take a bow! You did it! Wow!”

Catherine Hickland (ex-Lindsay) tweeted, “If anyone made something happen with shows moving forward, it’s the fans! And know that it is Agnes Nixon who fought alongside of you all tirelessly, never letting go of her “children” for even a second!”

Agnes Nixon (“AMC” and “OLTL” creator) stated, “I’m just so happy that ABC found a home where the legacies of ‘All My Children’ and ‘One Life to Live’ can continue. I’m excited for their future with Prospect Park. It takes a lot of living to make a soap opera a serial, and the wonderful teams on both shows have done just that. Together, we are a big family that keeps going, and I’m looking forward to working alongside these wonderful people as we ensure that the shows will continue with all the love and excitement we’ve always had. I also am so happy for our loyal fans, whom we love so much, and who have been so supportive over the last 40 plus years.”
