Carter is pathetic for falling in love so quickly yet again

He falls in love way too easily. Maya, Zoe, Quinn. All in record time. The guy is jacked. He’s a lawyer. He’s a nice guy mostly. He shouldn’t have to beg to be with these women. He’s not a teen or in his 20s. He’s 35+ in age
As a male, I’m embarrassed for him.

Carter is sweet, jacked, and a lawyer, but he doesn’t have it together, when women are in his orbit. The man has no idea what love is, you can’t fall in love with every woman. He picks a married Quinn, male/female Maya, and Zoe who was in love with another man, sorry but they aren’t candidates to get married to and have children with.

Now he most likely will be in a relationship with Katie. The girl has a heart condition and is not suppose to have children. Can’t this handsome jacked hunk find a single woman to go out with, without wanting to get married to her on the first date. I mean he is like Thomas instantly in love with Paris, he is pathetic too.

My issue isn’t the falling in love with every woman. It’s how quickly he falls in love. As far as what you described, he didn’t know Maya was a man when he fell for her.

I don’t watch often, but I don’t think Carter knew Maya was originally a man. But I think when he found out, it didn’t matter to him. Bell brought Maya on as a woman, I think she was looking for her child, but later on Bell had Maya not being the biological mother, I think she was taking care of her boyfriends child. The poster @happens or @stargaze would know for sure, they are the historians on the show, hopefully they will respond.
I like your posts, they are unique, that’s a good thing.

I forgot she was looking for her boyfriends kid when she came on the show, but you’re right.

You are correct. When Maya was first brought on she was looking for her child which Daisy had talked her into putting the child up for adoption when she was going to prison. Bell later changed the sl to Maya had been raising her boyfriends child. Once again Bell just doesn´t follow logic as Maya would have had no right to put her boyfriend´s child up for adoption. If I recall correctly Maya was devestated when she found out that the child had died in an accident.

Carter does decide too quickly that what he is feeling is love. Carter did take a long time to move on from Maya but he has moved on quickly from Zoe and Quinn.

I think Carter falls in “want”. He is so desperate to love and be loved that he has totally lost touch with reality as to what love is. If he’s attracted to someone, he seems to immediately decide that he’s in love and goes all out from there.

Cafter’s a nice guy and I agree with you about him seeming desperate to be loved. I think he’s lonely, which is probably why he attaches himself to woman quite fast.

I agree with you. His relationship with Quinn just ended and he’s ready to get involved with Katie. Right before Katie knocked on his door, he shed one tear over Quinn and that was it.
His five minutes of feeling sad was over and it’s time to move on.

Thank You Stargaze, I knew you would come through! :slightly_smiling_face:

Maya isn’t a man. She WAS a man well before she met Carter.

In regards to Quinn/Carter, i feel like Bell just wanted to end that fast. I still don’t think Carter should be saddled with someone like Katie. I just find her a bitter drag and het own worst enemy too. It’s one thing if she were actually serious about leaving BIll behind forever, but i honestly don’t trust her.

Carter is certainly moving on fast, but im kinda the same way. No need for me to cry for days, if that person im crying about does not care anymore.

I don’t find it pathetic if someone is openhearted even though they’ve been hurt before. I find it admirable that they can accept being rejected and leave that baggage behind them. Falling in love isn’t methodical or clinical. It’s a willingness to be optimistic about the future with someone and not calculated about the risk. If Carter already felt hurt by Quinn initially when Eric took her back, then he already understood that things could still end badly and his acceptance of that is what allowed him to let her go. Everything happens in record time on soaps anyway. If Carter wants love then why would he hesitate to open his heart to someone new, regardless of the timeline? I’d rather see him do that than be endlessly moping and pining over something he’s already lost.

Totally agree . Why doesn’t he go out to places to meet women, or go on a dating site. Doesn’t he have any friends of his own. Come to think of it. Bills lawyer seems to be written one dimensional also. No family or friends of his own. WAS at Bills beck & call, now Ridges Lackey? Carter , no life of his own. Just waits for Eric to summon him on the carpet. Kinda creepy :grimacing:, & sad:disappointed:?

I didn’t say I was pathetic to be open hearted. Said it was pathetic to continuously fall in love that quickly.

Carter would fall in love with his own shadow if it winked at him.

Justin had his son Marcus and his grandson. But, they’re not on the show anymore. I can’t remember his niece’s name, but she was killed off to further the Thomas lusting after Hope storyline

He isn’t pathetic. He may be book smart (law and business) but dumb when it comes to love.

He doesn’t know the meaning of love and has to learn what it truly means to be in love. True love is based on friendship, intimacy, and weathering life’s good and bad times as well as the mundane and exciting times.

I believe with Katie he could really learn and understand what it means to be in love.

Yep Katie who keeps taking Bill back. Katie who cheated with Nick who was with her niece at the time. Yeah, she’ll teach him about love.
