Guiding Light‘s Frank Dicopoulos (Frank Cooper) will be on hand as a presenter at this year’s Hellenic Times Scholarship Fund. The event will honor Business leader George Behrakis and The Food Network’s “Iron Chef” star Cat Cora at its 18th Anniversary Gala. Over 1200 people are expected to attend the ceremony which awards scholarships to Greek-American students from across the country. To date, the HTSF has awarded over $1.5 million dollars to over 600 students.

The dinner chairman for the event will New York Attorney and author Nick Katsoris. Many will know him for his “Loukoumi” children’s book series, which Frank just happens to be heavily involved with. The event is being held at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel on Saturday, May 16 2009. Attendees will also be treated to singing sensation Kalomoira who will be performing all of her hits at the gala. Also on the bill will be the legendary group, The Trammps, most famous for their hit “Disco Inferno.”

Ticket prices are: General admission tickets run from $200 per person; youth tickets are $160 (35 and under if purchased by April 30th; $185 after); a special ticket only for the concert will also be available for $75 to the first 100 purchasers.
