Since she popped up and vanished last week, I couldn’t help but wonder what’s been going on with Orlagh Cassidy (Doris Wolfe) lately. A little digging and I discovered that a film she shot has just wrapped up production and is preparing for release. “Calling It Quits” tells the story of Dante Milestone, a miserable baby-boomer struggling with everyday life and his doubts about God. Abandoning work and material success behind, he sets out on a quest for happiness and answers. On his journey, he stumbles through a darkly humorous series of failures until he meets a woman named Cynthia and she guides him to the answer he was looking for.

The film stars Dennis Boutsikaris and Jessica Hecht. It was written and directed by Anthony Tarsitano and shot in Manhattan. Cassidy plays Marcy, an agency executive, no doubt giving the role her customary sardonic polish. A release date for the film has not been given but advance reviews have been positive. For more information, check out the film’s official website.

Congrats to Orlagh on the role! For more information on her work outside of Guiding Light please see’s article about her here.
